Nutgrass, Onion Grass and Onion Weed are three problem weeds of turfgrass areas. Sometimes their identification is confusing.
Nutgrass (Cyperus rotundus) is one of the most common weeds in the world. It is particularly common in areas with high soil moisture levels.
Onion Grass (Romulea rosea) is also known as Guildford Grass and is a turf weed across temperate areas of Australia.
Onion Weed (Nothoscordum sp) is a weed in Australia of turf farms and gardens.
