ASTMA, Envu & John Deere – Supporting the next generation of women in turf
Set to launch in January 2025, this strengthened mentorship program aims to empower and support women aspiring to make their mark in the in the sports turf industry through a development program that includes work placement opportunity, 1:1 mentoring & ongoing career support training.
This initiative is tailored for women at various stages of their careers, offering them the opportunity to connect with experienced industry leaders, gain valuable insights, and build confidence.
Through the program, mentees will be provided with a range of experiences, receiving guidance on career development and the leadership skills required to navigate industry challenges, to practical on the job expertise gained in volunteer work at the Webex Cobram Barooga Tournament.
By fostering a community of support, the program aims to cultivate the next generation of female leaders in turf, creating a more inclusive and diverse future for the wider Turf industry.

Volunteer Event
Volunteer at a prestige Tournament event – Webex Cobram Barooga
As a course tournament volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring optimal turf surfaces and playing conditions are delivered by assisting with a range of tasks around the course. In your down time, you’ll join your cohort to attend a range of activities including clinics and leadership sessions to kick off your year long mentorship journey.

Women in Turf Mentorship Program
Take your sports turf career to the next level supported by industry leaders from across Australia who are committed to investing in the development of our female mentees at various stages of their careers throughout 2025.
Mentees will be paired with experienced mentors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge about turf management and providing guidance and personal development to support our mentees as they navigate their careers within the sports turn industry, guided by a supportive framework.
Through their mentorship, participants will gain valuable insights, build strong professional networks, and be empowered to take the next steps in their careers, helping to shape a more inclusive future for the industry.
Training & Development
Online Training Opportunities Throughout The Program
A series of online sessions will be designed around the specific interests of the 2025 cohort of mentees but will include topics such as:

• Resume Writing & Interview Skills
