Adam Lamb, Course Superintendent at The Barwon Heads Golf Club discusses the impact of salt spray. As the course is located close to the coast, it faces the unique challenge of salt spray from the ocean. Although salt spray is not common, strong South Winds recently carried salt over the sand dunes and onto the greens, resulting in yellowing. To mitigate the issue, water is used to try and leach the salt through and off the plants.
