We speak with Phil Beal, Superintendent of the Australian Golf Club, as he deals with the turf management issues of preparing a course for the Emirates Australian Open 2019. As the Emirates Australian Open is just 8 days away, final preparations are underway leading up to the big event. Special attention is given to protecting the greens throughout the high traffic period to combat turf stress. The clippings from the greens are excellent, and the heights are adjusted accordingly.The golf course is looking ready for the tournament, and caution is exercised to avoid any mistakes going forward.
