Envu conducted a turf trial in Jasper's Brush to assist turf growers like TurfCo find a flexible solution for weed control. Pre-emergent herbicides play a crucial role in managing weeds in the turf production industry. The trial aims to identify a pre-emergent herbicide that effectively controls weeds while ensuring minimal impact on grass growth and recovery. Two types of turf production, clear harvest and Buffalo Grass, are being studied in the trial. New herbicides are being tested to assess their effectiveness in weed control and their impact on turf recovery. Turf growers are hopeful that the trial will yield a pre-emergent herbicide that allows for optimal crop growth without hindrance.
